Project Title Development of Diagnostic Methods for Diabetes in High Risk Population Using Genetic and Proteomic Approach
Relevance medical
Description 128 gene markers for diabetes prediction were selected first using previously reported diabetes gene mutations and functional gene mutations discovered by this researcher through exome sequencing analysis. - Through previous studies, a peptide signature database was established to select candidates for protein markers predicting diabetes and complications and to measure them. - Evaluate diagnostic efficacy by verifying genetic markers and protein markers in prospective cohorts of high-risk diabetes groups. - In this process, 64 gene mutation markers with the highest diagnostic power were selected. - The results of the analysis of dielectric markers and protein markers are mutually verified to increase their effectiveness. - Developed a protein analysis method that can evaluate the expression of amino acid change proteins by exon mutation. - A system capable of verifying protein markers in large-scale samples through the Multi-reaction monitoring method was constructed, and at least five final protein markers were selected. - Developed a prototype of diagnostic technology that can be used in clinical practice using the finally selected gene mutation marker and protein marker. - Final verification was performed using 1,500 clinical site samples to verify the diagnostic effectiveness of the prototype. - Entering clinical performance clinical trials of medical devices for in vitro diagnosis with the approval of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's plan.
