The 1st JST-NRF Biological Data Science Joint Symposium was held in Mishima, Japan on August 27 - 28, 2025. 

Aiming to foster collaboration between Japan and Korea in the field of biological data science, this symposium is supported by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and Korea National Research Foundation (NRF) for two years (2025 - 2026), and hosted by National Institute of Genetics (NIG) and Korea Bioinformation Center (KOBIC).

This year's symposium was held with the subtitle "Genome Data Management and its Utilization with Advanced Techniques" and consisted of presentations of nine Japanese and eight Korean speakers, along with panel discussions.
