The 21st ABC (Asian Bioinformatics Consortium) Symposium was held in Beijing, China on October 16, 2024. This symposium has been held every year since 2002 to foster collaboration between Korea, Japan and China. Each country's representative bioinformatics institutes are hosting this symposium: KOBIC from Korea, DDBJ from Japan, and NGDC (since 2021) and SCBIT (2006-2019) from China.

This year's symposium was held as a session in the Big Data Forum for Life and Health Sciences, which is an annual forum held by NGDC. In this symposium, there was a presentation from each of the three Asian centers.
